Have a good work ethic on less-than-minimum wage? That’s what this darkly-funny and deeply relatable play is all about. Work, But This Time Like You Mean It is about young people’s first experience in a workplace. It’s about a group of fast-food workers that are just trying to get through another shift. They’re underpaid and overworked, and the customers just keep coming.

It plays at The Rebel Theatre in Walsh Bay from 15 – 18 October 2025. Cast member Quinn Goodwin joined Danny Chifley in the studio for 2SER Breakfast.
