Frankland Estate, ‘Alter Weg’, Riesling Great Southern W.A.

Alter Weg, meaning the old way, shows an older more germanic style of handling Rielsing. A great example of how a considered amount of oxidation and aging can provide depth and complexity to a wine. Textural and rich with a fresh acitidy this wine will cellar for at least 20 years but will drink best in the next 5. Pairs well with chicken and generally white meats or with hard cheeses and fruit.
