Television Show: Midnight Family (Familia de Medianoche)

This limited series is a ten-episode documentary about the Ochoa’s, whose family business is private paramedic services. They live in Mexico City and serve its civilians at night, helping those in car accidents to victims of addition. This Spanish-language show demonstrates this family’s moral dilemma of asking people for payment when they are at their lowest, both physically and emotionally.

Midnight Family is available on AppleTV+.

Television Show: Bodkin

Bodkin follows a group podcasters/journalists trying to uncover a cold case from a few decades ago where three people disappeared during a town celebration. Set in the small Irish town of Bodkin, the podcasters dig a little too deep and uncover the town’s long-held secrets. It stars Robyn Cara, Will Forte, and Irish acting royalty Siobhán Cullen.

Bodkin is available on Netflix.

Album: Headlights – Alex G

Headlights is the newest album from Alex G. It is his first release under his new label RCA Records and co-produced with Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Jacob Portrait. It follows the same tones and melodies we’ve come to know and love, but executes it at a much higher production level. Themes of death, love, tragedy, and melancholia resonate again on this album, allowing us to delve deeper into these complex ideas.

Headlights is available on Bandcamp.
