Film: Roofman

Based on a quirky true story, Roofman follows a former Army Ranger and struggling father who turns to robbing McDonald’s restaurants by cutting holes in their roofs. But his life begins to unravel, setting off a compelling and suspenseful game of cat and mouse as his past closes in.

Television: Rogue Heroes – Season 2

This British historical drama follows the exploits of a British officer in WW2 and his team. Hospitalised after a failed training exercise, he hits on a radical plan, and forms a small undercover unit that will create mayhem behind enemy lines.

Television: Optics

In this sharply observed and hilarious Australian series, two young social media-savvy women at a PR firm are unexpectedly promoted to CEOs, while the fortysomething heir-apparent is pushed aside.  But have these women been set up to fail?

Album: Twilight Override, by Jeff Tweedy

Great American singer songwriter Jeff Tweedy, leader of Wilco, has produced a new solo triple album. It’s a beautiful two hours with 30 songs, and was inspired by a road trip with his sons where he listened to a triple album and was inspired to do his own. It weaves in social commentary on American decay, and the genres of country, folk, rock, and Americana.
