True West is a Sam Shepard classic-American story that explores family, identity and the American dream. It’s a wickedly funny and scorching tale of sibling rivalry set in the searing backdrop of the Californian desert. 

True West has been from stage to film multiple times collecting big names in its orbit, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Malkovich, Ethan Hawke, Paul Dano and Bruce Willis to name a few.

It will now hit the Ensemble Theatre stage from the 8th September – 11th October 2025, with acclaimed Aussie actors joining in its wake. Cast member Darcy Kent joins Danny Chifley on the 2SER Breakfast show.
