The Gai-Mariagal Festival in North Sydney is up and running! – Tania Taylor at 2SER

Australia has the unique privilege of having the oldest living culture in the planet, and to celebrate this amazing fact the councils in North Sydney are holding the 24th edition of the Gai-Mariagal festival, a month-long series of events, workshops and exhibits done by and featuring First Nation Australians.
Today at 2SER we have the mayor of Willoughby herself, Tania Taylor, on air to tell us more about the history and purpose of the Mai-Mariagal festival. Featuring family workshops, bushwalks, artistic performances, Movie screenings; There is something here for everyone and all of the events are truly remarkable!
The event spans most of North Sydney and there’s something happening everyday up to the 13th of July, so don’t be coy and visit the festival’s website to find out more about the many things it has to offer!
