Sydney emerging poets raise funds for Palestinians in Gaza
Poetry can provide a creative and playful space for you to connect with your community. This is evident in the events run by Diptych, a poetry zine and performance series run by poet Ella Avni.
Monday Daily’s Lorna chatted to Ella about how creating Diptych and producing zines with the performing poets has helped them celebrate and directly distribute poetry across Sydney, free from publishers or hierarchies.
Diptych’s upcoming event, Whimsy, is on 16th August at Goodspace Gallery in Chippendale. Thirty local and artists and poets will perform and respond to the theme of whimsy while raising funds for Palestinian families in Gaza.
