Spoilers: why do we love’em or hate’em so much?

Spoilers : that advance info which spreads about a movie, TV show or book, sharing how the story will end – and all before we get the chance to watch or read it.
Some of us really enjoy them for the instant resolution, while some of us avoid them to better relish the suspense and surprise of the narrative.
Anjum Haweed is Professor of Human Factors at CQUniversity Australia, at their Adelaide campus.
He’s taken a look at the psychology behind spoilers – why creators use them, and why people can love them or hate them. He joined us on the Thursday Daily this morning.
