Sketches, burgers, and headache relief! Meet the artist’s of ‘May Merch Madness’!
For the month of May 2SER will be putting on a merch drive called ‘May Merch Madness’. This year we will be dropping limited edition 2SER hoodies. But there is a catch. You get to decide which design gets printed. There are three concepts from different designers.
Pip Tweed – “Since 1979” – https://www.instagram.com/
Pip Tweed’s work can already be found and admired across 2SER’s station and merch, and this design is no exception. Taking inspiration from and embracing the imperfect, analogue nature of the 70’s, Tweed takes a hand drawn artwork and digitally re-illustrates the design to provide a focus on the roots of community radio and act as a thank you to all those who have guided 2SER to where the station is today.
Andrew Ventouri – “Food For Thought” – https://www.instagram.
“Food For Thought” features a 2SER branded radio comedically sandwiched between a hamburger. Andrew Ventouri’s design was rediscovered in the archive of Listening Post’s , 2SER’s newsletter, illustrations with only the last name, Ventouri, signed. After reaching out to Ventouri to confirm whether the design was his, Ventouri exclaimed that while it had been a while ago since he made the design, it looked familiar and that “My favourite food is and always will be, hamburgers”.
Campbell Drummond – “Radio Cure” – https://www.
Campbell Drummond has been an enthusiastic listener for many years and has even been a guest on the airwaves for 2SER. Back in 1997, Drummond entered a design competition for the station and that same design is the one entered today in 2025. The design features 2SER stamped tablets acting as a cure for the headache that mainstream radio gives you. Drummond took pride in finding a unique and expressive way to personify 2SER.
