Fish population continues decline in Murray Darling Basin
A report on the $13 Million Dollar Murray Darling Basin Evaluation Plan has revealed that additional efforts are required to restore the basin’s ecology.
Although the report indicates that the river system is performing significantly better than in previous years, researchers in water, economics, and environmental science from Flinders, Melbourne, Griffith, and Adelaide University assert that more local initiatives are necessary to rejuvenate the basin’s health.
