Platypus(es) are back at the Royal National Park!

Platypus sightings are once again a thing among visitors to Royal National Park, underscoring the value of the Platypus Reintroduction Project.

After being extinct for decades, a number of platypuses were reintroduced over at the Royal National Park by researchers from UNSW, with a recent 3 new platypuses being rehomed at the park this year.

Dr Gilad Bino from the UNSW Centre for Ecosystem Science joined 2SER Breakfast. Remember to watch out for those platypuses on your next visit to the park, you may find more than you think!
