Offline for Good? Rethinking Social Media Bans for Young People

As governments around the world consider the possibility of banning young people from social media, important questions arise about whether this is the best possible course of action. 

Do these bans protect young people, or do they simply offer a false sense of security? What does the research actually say about social media’s impact on mental health?
