Now if you’re a fan of crisp live funk and like me find longing for the silky grooves of 80s New York and Chicago boogie, here’s a little treat for you.  Busting out of the booming Melbourne soul scene, the incredible 10-piece funk collective Mondo Freaks have hit the ground running with their long awaited self titled album and with it have brought the timeless sound of late 70s/80s disco and boogie to 2025.  Mondo Freaks’ bassist, co-producer and founding member Luke Hodgson joined Friday Drive Presenter Beth Tracey to chat all things funky.
