MFV writes Folk Songs for the Apocalypse

The Dharawal-based, self-professed “alt-country outcasts” known as Manson Family Values, or MFV for short, have made a name for themselves in this Pacific Southeast writing “folk songs for the apocalypse”. Combining sinister amped-out guitars with 70s era Laurel Canyon folk, MFV crafts murder ballads about the occult, environmental collapse, and drunk cowboys. Think Red Dead Redemption atmosphere through a wah-pedal, mixed with Cormac McCarthy poetics through a flanger.

MFV’s newest single ‘Delacroix’ is fresh on rotation at 2SER. Drummer Wilson, and rhythm guitarist/co-lead vocalist Josh from MFV joined Jono on Tuesday Drive.
