Sydney Writers’ Festival has introduced a landmark partnership with the State Library of NSW, supported by the NSW Government, to deliver a new year-round program of literary events, beginning this September.

The program already includes Michelle de Krester, one of Australia’s most celebrated writers and the winner of the 2025 Stella Prize, Bob Brown, a titan of Australian politics and environmental activism, Hannah Kent, he best-selling author of Burial Rites as well as Melanie Saward & Saman Shad, two of Australia’s boldest new voices in romantic fiction.
