Is green hydrogen the future for Australia

The term green hydrogen is which many would consider the future for our country. The prime minister Anthony Albanese and his government want it to be part of Australia’s export market as an export industry through a 104 paged “National Hydrogen Strategy” from last year.
So, will it be the future? Will it replace plans for renewable energy batteries and electric vehicles?
Madoc Shehan, Adjunct associate professor in chemical engineering at James Cook University, believes that this takes lots of water and it won’t solve any issues relating to a clean environment.
Razor’s Edge reporter Thomas Koutis asked Madoc Shehan, why Australia is betting so heavily on green hydrogen.
