Into The Blue with Aaron Frazer

Aaron Frazer is a familiar voice to regular 2SER listeners, both as part of his role as the co-lead vocalist and drummer of Durand Jones & The Indications and his burgeoning career as a solo artist.

Aaron is on the eve of releasing his latest work, an album entitled Into The Blue, a daring blend of soul, psychedelia, spaghetti western, disco, gospel and hip-hop, representing the impressive range of Frazer’s sonic talents. The album features moments of towering arrangements, recalling David Axelrod and Ennio Merricone, balanced by rawness, incorporating phone recordings and one-take vocals.

He joined 2SER Breakfast to discuss the new album, his beginnings, where he’s headed, and the utter joy of holding a vinyl copy of music of your own creation.
