The 2025 Sydney Writers’ Festival has officially unveiled its program, as always delivering an engaging week of literary discussion and courageous storytelling.

In 2025, the Festival brings together writers of spectacular fictions, moving words, captivating life stories and sweeping accounts of history and ideas, hosting brilliant storytellers across all forms in a thoughtful, challenging, riotous and of course, fun week-long celebration of writing, books and ideas.

The Sydney Writers’ Festival is on from 19–27 May 2025 radiating outwards form their festival home at Carriageworks to the entire city.

Artistic Director Ann Mossop caught up with 2SER Breakfast to discuss the festival, books, authors, family-friendly events and this year’s theme of ‘In This Together’.
