In the 1990s three-piece Glide were one of the range of Australian bands that spawned during a fertile period of independent music. Formed in 1991 based around the songwriting of Wellington born William Arthur, musician Ben deHeoudt has created a documentary that explores the life of the band and a front man who would sadly pass away to early at the age of 33.

Stephen Hill talked to Ben de Heoudt the director of “Disappear Here” about the music of Glide.

Disappear Here is screening at the Randwick Ritz on April 24, and will include a Q&A with the film’s director and with members of Glide.
