Get Away with Dre: Spring Flowers

Spring is in the air in Australia! The days and nights are a little warmer, and daylight lasts a little bit longer. Perfect weather to get outdoors and explore Australia in Spring.

Flowers and spring are synonymous, and smelling flowers has been proven to do some good to your body. Smelling flowers actually lower cortisol levels, reduce blood pressure and promote restful sleep. Flowers can naturally improve your mood, stimulate the brain to release dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin (happy hormones), and reduces stress.

So lets get outdoors and check out some Spring flowers:

Three Views Track, Kangaroo Valley, NSW

Three View Walking Track in Spring

In Morton National Park, the Three Views Walking Track in Springtime is one of the most beautiful trails in Kangaroo Valley – and that’s just the trail – that’s not even counting the three views you get on the trail.

The walk is an easy and accessible wildflower walking trail that takes you to three views: 5.7 km return Shoalhaven River View, 3.4 km return Lake Yarrunga View and the 4 km return Tallowa Dam View, making it a 13kms return walk in total.

Each lookout takes you to a rocky viewpoint with a couple of rock scrambling moves before taking you amazing views of Lake Yarrunga, Tallowa Dam and the Shoalhaven River.

The trail is mostly flat and easy, making it ideal for all fitness levels and ages, but take care at the unfenced cliff edges at all lookouts.
