Unclouded by Melody’s Echo Chamber

The Feature Album this week on 2SER is Unclouded by Melody’s Echo Chamber.

Since their debut in 2012, Melody’s Echo Chamber have been a group that has evolved from project to project, while remaining centred around singer and musician Melody Prochet.

For this, her fourth studio album, Prochet assembled an enviable lineup of collaborators including Leon Michels (of El Michel’s Affair), Daniel Ögen (of Dina Ogon) on guitar, Heliocentrics drummer Malcolm Catto and Sven Wunder (of Sven Wunder).

Inspired by a quote from Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki about achieving equilibrium (“You must see with eyes unclouded by hate”), Unclouded is a masterful record of jazzy, textured space rock and dream pop and a sonic world well-worth being lost in.
