A Wide Open Air Exchange special remembering our friend Paris Pompor aka Paris Groovescooter.

This episode features parts of an interview with Paris that was recorded by Jess Klajman and Liz Giuffre ahead of 2SER’s 40th birthday when Paris was hosting his long-running music radio program Jumping the Gap.

Also in this episode, Hober Mallow from 2SER’s Mighty Reel program shares a music selection along with memories of Paris.

Members of the 2SER community are taking part in the Festival of Paris in celebration of the life of Paris. There was a great turn out for a dance at the Red Rattler on Saturday 31st May which was organised by Georgie Zuzak Groovescooter who is a lifelong best friend of Paris and Groovescooter partners.

The Festival of Paris continues on Sunday 22nd June at the Golden Age Cinema and Bar which has been host to Groovescooter film screenings and other gatherings over the years.
