Bamboo Entwine As They Grow – Exhibition at Bankstown Arts Centre and MAC Yapang
Bamboo Entwine As They Grow is a new exhibition across two venues: Bankstown Arts Centre and the Museum of Art and Culture, yapang in Lake Macquarie.
Participating artists Tiyan Baker, Sarah Ong and Dr. Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen are exploring bamboo’s role in our contemporary world and the need for all of us to connect and share knowledge so we can grow and thrive together.
Monday Daily’s Eva Greifeneder spoke to Tiyan Baker and the director of Bankstown Arts Centre, Rachael Kiang, about the show and its organic progression from concept to installation.
This exhibition runs until 14th December at Bankstown Arts Centre and 15th December at MAC, yapang. There will be a performance by Sarah Ong towards the end of the run at Bankstown Arts Centre.
