A future without the tough guys? Seed Hunters at the Pitt Street Uniting Church Performance Space

Seed Hunters: an exploration of toxic masculinity, motherhood, and the search for a better world, produced by Scene Theatre Sydney.

In Seed Hunters, written by Carol Dance and directed by Melissa Paris, international students in post-Cultural Revolution China and modern-day Sydneysiders are thrust into the seed-hunter movement, a quest to save humanity by building a world through raising “more peaceful and more intelligent children”.

Described as “topical, clever [and] controversial”, the play runs between 17-26 October at the Pitt Street Uniting Church Performance Space, with tickets available here.

Playwright Carol Dance speaks to Monday Daily host Eva Greifeneder on 2SER
