Supermarkets targeted in new price gouging regulations
Last week the government announced a ban on supermarket price gouging which will prevent retailers like Woolworths and Coles from charging prices that are ‘excessive compared to the cost of supply plus a reasonable margin’.
To discuss whether consumers can expect to be better of by these new measures, Monday Daily’s Will Prott spoke with Dr Sanjoy Paul, Associate Professor in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Dr George Tian, a Senior Lecturer in Law, both from the University of Technology Sydney.
