Carbon Credits and taxation could be the step to reducing emissions

Transport is one of the biggest contributors to carbon emissions globally and here in Australia, it’s the third largest emitter according to the DCCEEW. As we look for ways to cut emissions and move toward a cleaner future, carbon credits systems are becoming essential tools in the spotlight for the last 25 years. The real question is, are these systems enough to drive future change for our planet?

Razor’s Edge Reporter Thomas Koutis spoke to on the line from New Zealand via WhatsApp Ferdinand Balfoort, a PHD candidate in law, his research focuses on sustainable transport and distributive justice at Charles Darwin University.
