Krystal Rivvers Talks New Music, Hot Collabs, and Cooler Shades

Eora/Sydney based outfit Krystal Rivvers are back with a brand new single Lover – and this one’s a little different.
Swapping out their earlier indie-rock grit from tracks like Prisoner and Sienna, Lover floats into a laid-back, almost psychedelic groove that gets you in your feels. Frontman Earl Weir didn’t come empty-handed either, the track is stacked with collabs, including Beaker Best and Freddy Crabs (Sticky Fingers); Polly Cooper (Hatchling); Michael Tramonte (The Delta Riggs); and Jack Moffit (The Preatures). With that many cooks in the kitchen, you’d expect a total reinvention, but somehow the song still carries Rivvers’ signature touch, just turned a little dreamier.
Earl Weir joined Alessia Lalli and Billy Keall live on Newfangled to chat about the track, how collaborations shape the band’s sound, and yes… even shared a few thoughts on fashion too.
