Sammy Luka’s Sundown Band’s Second Folk Rock LP Is Out Now

Sammy Luka’s Sundown Band’s second album, “Young Man in a Far Away Town”, is here to bless your ears and your hearts.
Formerly known as Sundown Ever Sundown, the very talented singer-songwriter (oh and guitarist), Sammy Luka, fronts the Melbourne-Sydney-Newcastle project. He introduced new members Ewan Maccoll (bassist), Max Cheney (electric guitar), and Max Van’t Spyker (drums) for his second album. Lukas Massarotti from Sundwon Ever Sundown continues to play keyboard for the band.
“Young Man From A Far Away Town” transports audiences to the intimate recording space for the album, Luka’s Richmond sharehouse. With sounds like birds chirping and laptops whirring, listeners are fully immersed in this space.
Alongside the sound, Sammy Luka’s lyrics follow timeless themes of love, heartbreak, leaving home, and friendship. The tracks are relatable and speak to very human experiences.
If you want to see Sammy Luka’s Sundown Band perform the incredible “Young Man in a Far Away Town” live, you can catch them at Good Space Gallery on Friday, September 14th. Tickets are available on Humanitix. You can also catch them across New South Wales and in Melbourne.
