Rutendo Shadaya hails from the small rural town of Tokoroa, in New Zealand’s North Island.

At the age of 9, Rutendo started writing her first fantasy novella named “Rachael and the Enchanted Forest”. Now at 17 years old, she has since published two more books in this series.

These incredible achievements didn’t go unnoticed, as Time magazine recently recognised Rutendo as one of their ‘Girls of the Year’, a list comprising 10 extraordinary girls from around the globe.
