Major parties caught in obsession over vanity project: MP

Hundreds of AFL supporters are taking to the streets of Hobart tomorrow as voters head to the polls.
The proposed Macquarie Point AFL Stadium in Hobart, endorsed by Labor and the Liberals, remains one of the biggest issues on the agenda for the state election.
While recent polling from the Australia Institute suggests the stadium isn’t wanted by most Tasmanians, supporters of the development are set to protest on the streets of Hobart tomorrow.
