Damien Minton Presents ‘This one is a song’ by Mark Gowing
With a lifetime spent in the design, arts and publishing industries, acclaimed typographer and designer Mark Gowing can put /solo artist on his wikipedia page if he wants one.
His new art exhibition This one is a song is his solo art debut at the Damien Minton Presents gallery in Surry Hills from the 16th – 26th July 2025.
With his connection to publishing, art and written text, Mark sees books as artefacts and containers of language, so his new body of work represents that – utilising book covers and pages in place of the canvas with bold, geometric artworks that reveal visual rhythms as structures of language.
