Sydney Writers Festival: Kerrie Davies on piecing together Miles Franklin’s unknown brilliant career

Journalist and media academic Kerrie Davies has just released her real-life sequel to Miles Franklin’s 1901 feminist classic My Brilliant Career.
Following the publication of her novel, Australian writer Miles Franklin appeared to disappear from the public eye. Kerrie Davies uncovers the little-known period of her life as a pioneer for industrial and women’s rights, perhaps the most significant and productive of her brilliant career.
Kerrie will be discussing her book at the Sydney Writers Festival in May at several events:
- In conversation with Yves Rees and Susan Wyndham on Wednesday 21 May
- The Curiosity Lecture on Thursday 22nd May
Kerrie joined Danny on 2SER Breakfast to discuss Miles Franklin and the little-known years of her brilliant career.
