A supernatural comedy, Khair خير: An Omen, A Message, A Blessing is a bold new theatre that blends the supernatural with the everyday in the suburb of Fairfield.
Set in a struggling Western Sydney hair salon that doubles as a mystical healing space, Khair’s lease is coming up and an Acai business is looking to take over. Khair’s sister-sorceress owners have to fight to keep their legacy alive.
Khair is not just a supernatural comedy. It explores lost traditions in a modern world and is culturally rich as it is wildly imaginative.
It plays at PYT Fairfield on March 7-8. Khair’s creator and cast member, Yvan Karezi caught up with Danny Chifley on 2SER Breakfast.
