Heavy Demo ft. Jay Watson [GUM] & Ambrose Kenny Smith on Ill Times

alright this week I was joined by Jay Watson a.k.a GUM and Ambrose Kenny Smith who have just released their tremendous record “Ill Times”.  We work our way through the record as Jay and Ambrose explain the making of the record, their working relationship, some influences behind the project and plans for the future. I was denied a spine tingling anecdote about the magic of hearing Ambrose’s vocals live in the studio and Jay refuses to sell me his Wurlitzer which no longer works and has been ruined by white car paint.

Special thanks to producer Javier for his invaluable help editing this episode.
